Just when you thought that Coach has done it all, here they come with another great line of bags called the Coach Poppy. This line came on the seen in the Fall of 2009 as is marketed as budget friendly. To me, their handbags in general are very affordable already, especially when you compare them to many other high quality designer handbag brands.
Sometimes, you can get two or three Coach purses for the money that some people put out on some the other designer brands. The Coach Poppy Collection definitely has a youthful appeal and that is to whom these bags are marketed to.
With bright and vibrant colors, a variety of nicely put together fresh silhouettes and an edgy East Coast type vibe mixed with punky sensibilities makes these handbags come off as a very spirited and playful looking style purse.
The Coach Poppy logo is inspired by notebook graffiti which screams of energy. According to Reed Krakoff, the President and Executive Creative Director, Coach Poppy bags are a extension of the Coach Brand and at the same time providing an excited new style handbag for new customers and age groups.
In other words, they want to find a way to expand their brand by making this collection of bags more desirable in an effort to capture younger customers.
